Website content
When a learner opens a lesson, project, tutorial, article or community page, the app loads that page from academy4tech.com over HTTPS. The website host may process ordinary technical request data such as IP address, browser information, requested page and time for security and delivery.
Course-interest form
Submitting the optional course-interest form sends the information entered directly to Academy4Tech. This can include name, email address, role, learner age group, country or region, experience level, selected interests, preferred format and an optional message. The form also records a submission reference and submission time.
This information is used for course planning and relevant follow-up. It is not sold. A parent or guardian must submit the form for a learner under 16.
A4T Buddy
Buddy’s chat and recommendations run on the device using the Academy4Tech catalog. Chat text is not sent to a generative-AI provider or stored by the app. Opening a Buddy recommendation loads the selected Academy4Tech page in the same way as other website content.
Device storage and cache
The app stores topic bookmarks, a selected experience level, a cached content catalog and cached website resources so recently viewed material can load more smoothly. Its embedded browser can also use ordinary first-party Academy4Tech cookies, DOM storage and HTTP cache where a website feature requires them. Android may remove cached files automatically. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes this local app data. Course-interest submissions are stored by Academy4Tech rather than in the app’s local preferences.
Sharing and retention
Academy4Tech does not sell personal information. Service providers used to host and secure academy4tech.com may process data only to provide those services. Course-interest information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for course planning, follow-up, security and legal obligations.
Children
Academy4Tech provides educational material to a broad audience. The course-interest form requires a parent or guardian to submit for a learner under 16. The app does not knowingly use behavioral advertising or profiling for children.
Your choices
Learners can use the built-in catalog and Buddy without submitting personal details. App storage can be cleared, or the app can be uninstalled, to remove local preferences and cache. To ask about a course submission or request access, correction or deletion, email [email protected].
Security and policy changes
Academy4Tech uses HTTPS for app-to-website traffic. The embedded browser is designed around Academy4Tech content; an HTTPS link to an external resource may load there or open another installed app, depending on the link and device.
